Don't Lose Courage - You Don't Have to Look Them in the Eyes

You can make a powerful statement and still stand strong even when you aren't looking at your foe in his or her face.  If anything, it frustrates the enemy when you don't care enough about what the individual is saying to be attentive to it.  Why bother making eye contact when a manipulative, angry, or crazy person has insulted you?

Give the disturbed one no weapon to form against you including eyes of fire!  Don't permit the evil within another human being that is so far from a righteous God, to destroy you--to tempt you to do something you might regret!  If one sincerely believes in a heavenly Creator then he or she would be wise to call on The One who is beyond human intelligence, power, and fame --the Master of all masters, the Warrior of all warriors--the great I AM!

Deceased wise teachers, leaders, prophets, and others didn't go into a fight without a spiritual weapon.  The enemy knows that a man or woman who is connected to God, the Son and the Holy Ghost has the potential to be greater than he who is in the world--that is if he or she knows the truth: the weapons of our warfare are not carnal!  Satan and his minions work night and day to keep you from fully realizing this.  They dilute truth, hide it, keep it off the front pages of websites, out of printed media on best-seller lists, and away from the mouths of influential people in our modern day society.

The niche market works well for the trained puppet, he or she will not deviate from scripts and will stay focused on one thing at a time while oblivious to the world around him or her unless it is somehow connected to his niche.  Satan loves keeping believers in boxes!  "Come out the box," the Lord says.

The backslider, unsaved, lost and confused most likely is aware how a "typical" Christian will react to his or her negative news, nasty behavior, rude comments, etc. since these ungodly types sometimes attend church too.  However, the radical type, the Jesus follower, one who flies under the radar, evil people never know which way children of light are coming, what battle might believers lead, or where will God's people end up.  Some are so disturbed with worry that a Christian might show up and show out with his or her truth that they jump the gun, create false stories, damage reputations, etc. in an attempt to take Christians off this planet for no real reasons.

While you are avoiding eye contact during a verbal battle with the evil one's workers, don't be tempted to spill everything you know, hold back some truth from them, remain quiet sometimes like Jesus did especially when his death was near, and trust that God will be with you every step of the way.  Remember the battle is not yours!

God bless.

The Legacy of the Lost

We live in an American society of sin, mayhem, and destruction.  Countless people die unexpectedly daily as a result of sins committed with no concept of what a healthy spiritual relationship with one's Creator looked and felt like.  The lost falsely assumed they were okay within while spreading their poison to others.  Lies, deceit, anger, bitterness, hatred, resentment, and jealousy, are just some of the many issues ungodly people have that they refuse to let go of.

These dead people didn't feel they needed to believe in anyone or anything, but themselves while living amongst the children of light.  Sold out on personal beliefs of being one's own God, they failed miserably at being joyful and peaceful while they walked this earth.  There was never enough money, love, attention, material goods, and more to suffice the depressed, sad, wild, crazy kind of people--both young and old.

Much of their legacy left behind (from those who could afford to leave something for generations following them) had no God approval stamp, so to speak. In other words, they held on to worthless treasures, cursed media, and demonic tokens, the kind of things that meant nothing to a righteous God who reigns over all the people.  What good is a religious relic, a shiny brand name piece of jewelry, a designer car, or a large home decorated with biblically inspired messages when the owners weren't living according to God's will?

Despite all of the beautiful things that men and women buy, invests in or creates, God is not interested in people's objects and systems and neither are those who honestly wanted nothing more than a parent, child, or relative to simply love them!

The legacy of the lost is not filled with love, hope, or truth despite engraved or painted words on objects.  Instead, Satan uses the spoils from life and death's war to divide, conquer, and create havoc for those left behind.  Siblings argue about who should keep what.  Employees fight over position.  The church steps in to claim what is their's and so on.  So much confusion over what the dead wanted!

Lost people are never completely honest with themselves or others about their innermost thoughts, how they come to inherit wealth, who they know, or what exactly moved them to make their creative works.  They might have talked about how good, nice and wonderful they are and others while alive, but deep down inside felt nothing more than a void.  Like a deceased person, a walking dead body is unable to give and receive love.

Lost people, no matter the personality disorder, are incapable of loving.  They are incomplete spiritually, mentally and physically.  They decorate themselves beautifully to create an illusion that they are indeed "fearfully and wonderfully made" as the Bible suggests, rather than taking God at his word.  "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psalm 139:14  Notice there is a belief in a Holy God and an appreciation for what the Creator has done.  Yet, while alive the lost couldn't appreciate this concept and in death it is too late.
So rather than God be glorified even after the death of a loved one, a lost generation glorifies stuff.

The Messiah reminds us, "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.  "But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Matthew 6:20.

How the Lost, Self-Righteous and Evil Will Cherry-Pick Scripture to Justify Sins

The abusive man or woman, liar, back-slider, drunk, heartless, and others will sometimes look to the Bible to get selfish needs met.  They will also use God's holy word to further manipulate or control others while attempting to appear wise!  Too often, those that are easily deceived will go along with "the programming" not knowing that the Bible is being used as a weapon to divide Christians while furthering someone's sick and twisted way of thinking or personal agenda.

There are many self-righteous believers and opportunist unbelievers who will crack open the Holy Book in search of scripture to do any number of things:  feel good about his or herself, keep a partner from filing divorce, get someone or a group to give them money, play guilt trips, cause a believer to doubt his or her faith, or test Christians in the hopes that they will discredit themselves or act hypocritical.  Of course, that was just a short list of the negative things some will do to benefit from the scriptures.

As much as we would like to think that some people mean well when approaching us about what we, as believers, say and do, there are those who are out of the will of God and angry at him for any number of things.  Unfortunately, we are the ones who contend with all sorts of foolishness.  But thanks be to God for his strength, love, grace, and more to endure!

The lost confused, reprobate, rebellious, and others, who seek to twist scripture to get what they want, unfortunately find themselves on the side of the enemy.  Angry men and women, who believe they are right for past and present deeds, will not confess sin and repent.  Instead, they prefer to argue and defend why they did what they did and why they are still doing what they do including being out of fellowship with God.  For example, a man, who has a long history of abusing women mentally, physically, and spiritually, might listen to the words of a minister for a time in order to keep a victim/partner around.  He might talk of how God hates divorce, why women should be quiet and not nag men, be submissive, etc.  Therefore, the abuser uses the Bible to keep his victim enslaved.  This form of spiritual abuse is deadly and for many they have gone to their graves prematurely.  Rather than focus on other text in the bible related to sinful acts such as: scripture that speaks about God's wrath and curses, how those that practice certain sins will not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5), and more, the focus is on the "good" scriptures and the love of God and how he hates divorce, and his forgiveness.  The devilish wouldn't want to be exposed; therefore they will try to distract their targets from the truth.

A weak-minded Christian will overlook the tricks of the enemy and begin to self-doubt as well as wonder whether advice given is solid.  At times, Satan will try to take the gullible down a path of self-destruction.  God uses men and women to speak truth as well as test them on the knowledge he has given them.  So when you have individuals around you, used by Satan, whose plans are to upset you and argue about what you know to be true, prayerfully address the issue, but avoid the argument.  Those in sin look for a dispute with a Christian so that they don't feel compelled to do anything different.

Suffering - Why Lord?

Though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. -- Hebrews 5:8

Sometimes it can be overwhelming to think that God allowed his only righteous Son to pay for our sins.  Our eyes fill up with tears, our minds a bit confused, and our stomachs ache to even think of having to do something like that with our own children.  But God...

When we are going through mental or physical illness or with someone else, the question might surface, "Why?"  A mature believer might quickly caution you to watch with that questioning God.  However, suffering will cause you to do it.  Job, David, and God's own Son in their suffering were weak and may not have acted in ways we thought they should.  But when one is weak, they are strong so the Bible says.  In all of their suffering, they learned obedience.  We should do the same!

However, too often the believer will act like the unbeliever wanting to know why would a righteous God do this and that.  When these sorts of thoughts come up, consider what you have prayed.  In order for one's heart to be humbled, an answer to pray come forth, and other matters be dealt with, sometimes a certain degree of suffering must take place.  Men and women's hearts rebel against the people and things of God.  They will not always do what they are told, they will resist; therefore, causing suffering for all in their path.  Consider the book of Exodus and the many trials the Israelites had to endure.  The Pharaoh was unwilling to simply hand over the children of God, he put up a fight and that rebellion caused unnecessary suffering.  We all can make life easier for ourselves if we would just listen to our Father and do what he says especially when we have prayed many prayers.

Whether a man wants a desired job or a partner wants to reconcile, whatever the issue, seek God!  Sometimes are suffering produces good fruit, peace, love and happiness, but other times we find ourselves suffering and there are no visible results.  Take the time to ask God to show you why are you suffering and ask Him to give you relief.  Whether he answers you or not, know that you are growing closer to Him, learning to rely on Him through your storms.  In time, you will find yourself helping others who may be going through a similar trial.

Solution:

Read the word of God, praise Him, and get yourself around like-minded believers so that you can be motivated to fight the good fight.  When you know that you have done all that you can do to make wrongs right in a situation, put the trouble-maker, backslider, argumentative, or negative person or group in God's hands and watch God work!

A look back…

Do you recall a major life event where you or someone you know was suffering much?  What was the end result?  Were you or this person better because of it?  If not, what might you do differently?  We learn the hard way usually because we have been disobedient to God.  An unrighteous lifestyle with wicked people in one's inner circle will add to suffering.  Unwise choices will prolong suffering as well.  Save yourself the drama and follow God's precepts no matter how much you disagree.  The bible says, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding..." Proverbs 3:5.
